ABOUT BLUE WATER AREA TRANSIT COMMISSION

AN INDEPENDENT PUBLIC AGENCY

The Blue Water Area Transit system provides regularly-scheduled bus service six days a week to the City of Port Huron and Fort Gratiot Township, as well as dial-a-ride service in the City of Marysville and Burtchville, Ft. DOWNTOWN TRANSFER CENTER

The Downtown Transit Center opened in December 2015 providing more than 2,000 passengers a day a safe and efficient means to transfer between buses. Buses enter and depart from different directions and wait for passengers in two parallel lanes on either side of a sheltered island.

NATURAL GAS VEHICLES

RIDE BLUE, GO GREEN!

The Blue Water Area Transit system runs the state’s largest fleet of natural gas fueled buses and operates four public CNG fueling stations. We began using compressed natural gas in 1996 and now rank as Michigan’s largest supplier of the alternative fuel by providing this service to the public as well.
